A clear case of a house rising against itself. Though the factional youth leader of PDP's decision is politically motivated,it is the ideal thing. Our leaders are not interested in the future of this country. Until Nigerian come of their shell of fear and indecision ,the way to collective prosperity will continue elude the leaders of tomorrow. To me there are only leaders of today and the youths ought to be at the fore front.

By Innocent Oweh/Abuja
As the splinter group of Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) led by Abubakar
Baraje named its National Executive
Committee (NEC) members on Monday,
the newly appointed National Youth
Leader, Timi Frank, has said he would
mobilise Nigerian youths to protest
against the prolonged strike by the
Academic Staff Union of Universities
(ASUU).
His threat came on Tuesday, just as
members of the National Association of
Nigerian Students (NANS), University of
Port Harcourt chapter, made good their
earlier plan to engage in mass protest.
The Uni-Port students had blocked the
East-West road for over an hour, to
protest the prolonged industrial action,
which had kept the gate of the nation’s
ivory tower shut since July 2.
At an interactive forum with journalists in
Abuja on Tuesday, Frank described as
shameful the continued stay of students
at home, which he attributed to
insensitivity of the Jonathan-led
administration.
He said: “The attitude of the current
administration under President Goodluck
Jonathan to the plight of the striking
workers is an indication that he has lost
track with the basic tenets of governance
